Club: Biloxi

I retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1997 after a 21+ year career. Upon my retirement I was asked to join the Rotary Club of Biloxi. As a member of the Rotary Club of Biloxi I served as Treasurer for two years and served as their President in 2004/05. In August 2013 I made the hard decision to change clubs and joined the Rotary Club of Edgewater. As a result of this change, I’ve become more involved in Community Service, Foundation giving and district activities. I was the 2016/17 President of the Edgewater Club and have served as the Executive Secretary since 2020. In addition to my club duties, I’ve also been active at the district level, serving as an Assistant Governor from 2018-2023 and on the District Grants Committee 2022/23. As relates to the Rotary Foundation, I’m a Paul Harris Society Member, a Major Donor, and a Bequest Society member.

Following my military career, I began a career as a Financial Specialist. During this time, I earned my Certified Financial Planner© designation and my Chartered Life Underwriter designation. After 16 years I thought I was ready to retire, but quickly realized I wasn’t ready for retirement, so I became a substitute teacher. This is something I really enjoy – working with children and hopefully being a positive influence in their lives. I have come to greatly appreciate the dedication it takes to be a career teacher.

Education: I have a BS in Business and Management from the University of Maryland and a Master of Business Administration from William Carey University.

My primary hobbies are golf and going to the gym. In addition to being involved with Rotary, I’m active in several church missions and hold a leadership position in my church.
